"Edging the banks of the Milwaukee River, Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront is a welcoming haven on the water. Fresh off a multi-million-dollar renovation, find your refuge in spacious rooms with flat-screen TVs, in-room work stations and pillow top beds. Celebrate in 8,000 square feet of event space, enhanced by inspiring views of the river. Refresh in our indoor pool and work out in our new fitness room. Use our convenient laundry room. Indulge with scallops, bone-in short ribs and fresh seafood at Anchorage Restaurant, and gather over Milwaukee craft beers and drinks at River's Edge Lounge. Located near downtown, our hotel is just minutes from world-class shopping, major league baseball and the area's top breweries."
Dennis has acquired a rate of $120.00 per night, including breakfast. Parking is complimentary. You will be able to get this rate three days before and three days after the actual reunion dates.
The hotel is located 14 miles (about a 20 minute drive) from the Milwaukee International Airport. Rental cars, taxis, Lyft, and Uber are available at the airport. The hotel does not provide shuttle service.
When you make your reservation, just tell them you are with the USS Mauna Kea Reunion group to obtain this pricing. To make your reservation by phone, call 1-877-666-3243. To book your reservation online, just click the Hotel Reservation button. Reservations must be made by Sept 5, 2020 to get this rate. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will result in a charge for one night.
We have been informed that the Great Lakes naval base will not reopen this year to the public.
We are planning a riverboat tour with lunch. The tour may also include the Pabst Mansion, and a drive through tour of other points of interest in Milwaukee. We understand that walking should be held to a minimum this year. More information will be presented as it becomes available.
In October, the leaves should be in turning their brilliant fall colors, and river tours will still be available. We will be sure to have an enjoyable tour arranged, and will keep it in the same price range.
In addition to the organized tour, you might want to visit the Milwaukee Zoo, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Pabst Mansion, Discovery Place (aquatic life showplace), the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, and the Milwaukee Riverwalk District. Information regarding these attractions will be available at the registration desk at the reunion or you can check them out on the internet.
Our banquet will be held on Wednesday evening. We will have a cash bar open and will have a DJ, so bring your dancing shoes.
The price of the registration will be $80.00 per person. This includes the banquet meal, entertainment, food and beverages for the Hospitality Room, and Miscellaneous expenses for the reunion.
We emailed the registration forms on December 14. If you did not receive one, it is probably because we do not have your current email address. If you need to have your email address updated, send it to David Cannon (email@example.com).
If you leave your registration fee and tour fee in place for the next reunion, you will not need to fill out another registration form. If you request a refund at this time, you will need to submit another registration form when you send your payment.
Liberty Call begins at 4:00 PM October 5th in the Hospitality Room.
